Loaded Halloumi Chips with Avocado Salsa

Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, these halloumi chips are topped with a simple avocado salsa. A ridiculously simple recipe we can't wait for you to try!

This recipe makes 12 Halloumi Chips. Double the chip recipe for more chips – the salsa will spread over two packets worth of Halloumi.

Ingredients

Chips

1 pack of BioCheese Halloumi

1/2 cup plain flour

Oil, for cooking (we’ve used olive oil)

Salsa

1 Ripe avocado, peel removed and diced.

1 Tsp chili flakes

1 Tsp apple cider vinegar

Add a pinch of coriander if you like

Method

1. Add diced avocado, chili and apple cider vinegar to a bowl and combine.

2. Slice your BioCheese Halloumi blocks into chips.

3. Place your flour into a bowl wide enough to fit your BioCheese Halloumi chips.

4. Put enough oil in a skillet/ frying pan to fill to a depth of 2cm. Heat the oil over medium-to-high heat.

5. Once hot, coat the BioCheese Halloumi in flour and place in the skillet/ frying  pan to cook until golden. Rotate regularly until evenly cooked.

6. Place on paper towel and allow to drain.

7. Transfer chips to a serving plate and top with avocado salsa
