Food Allergy Week

Food Allergy Week

Food Allergy Week is an initiative by Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia. Food Allergy week aims to raise awareness of severe food allergies and the impact allergies can have on everyday life. 1 in 3 Australians will experience an allergic reaction to food in their lifetime. Australia has one of the highest rates of allergies in the world overall. According to a study by the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Australia also has the highest published rates of food allergies in children. In fact, one in ten infants will be born with a food allergy. While many children grow out of their allergies, many also suffer from lifelong allergies.

Happy Earth Day Bio Lovers! Today we celebrate and advocate for our home, planet Earth. It is up to us to live a more sustainable life to help heal the planet. By adopting a sustainable lifestyle and making a conscious attempt to reduce our use of the earth’s natural resources, we can play our part in making the world a better place for future generations. It’s a daunting prospect, but we’ll start you off here.

National Biodiversity Month

National Biodiversity Month

Biodiversity month is held in September each year to raise awareness about the protection of biodiversity in Australia, and the world. Biodiversity represents the variety of plant and animal life in our world, which we are entirely responsible to protect. We are reminded to stop and think about our environmental impact and what we can do to reduce it.
